Position Overview:

The Scrum Master / Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing software development projects within a HealthTech startup environment. This role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The position also involves facilitating Agile processes and liaising between technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans in collaboration with the Technical Software Leadership team.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure teams adhere to Agile principles.
  • Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and executive stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality SaaS and cloud-based products within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Adapt to the needs of a startup environment, performing a variety of tasks as required to support project success.


Required Experience:

  • Agile Certification: Must hold a recognised Agile certification, with extensive experience as a Scrum Master.
  • SaaS/Cloud Products: Demonstrated experience in building SaaS and cloud-based products.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing software development projects, with a focus on SaaS and cloud-based products.
  • Team Coordination: Proven ability to plan, guide, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to work closely with technical teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical and business objectives.
  • Domain Experience: Experience in the medical, biology, health tech, or animal health sectors is beneficial but not mandatory.


Working Conditions:

  • The role is based in South Melbourne, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes both remote and in-office work.
  • Full-time position with standard working hours, with flexibility as required by project needs.

  • Reports to the Product Development Manager
